The CrossingWith great trepidation I approached the road as many lights pushed and pulled through the lanes and I looked back, fearful for what might come from behind. I allowed the fever of my terror to overcome me by rushing into the street head on. Bright bolts of light struck in front of my eyes as the stress of my own weight started to buckle hard at my ankles knees. A cacophony of horns and sirens pounded my ears and the streetlights began to blur as I increased my pace, breaking through the pain barrier my joints had previously slammed into.

The Police
It appeared that all authorities were on the move, including the local police departments that always seemed dwarfed in comparison to the superheroes.

The police were always busy but when the superheroes came in their shining glory, they couldn't help but feel a little resentful.

Here they were, the local sheriffs and cops, working a full shift every day to pay the bills. And when the superheroes came along to "save the day", all of their hard work went to waste without a "thank you".

Vampires Charm – They Can't Love You #Candlelight-Writers Prompts
Forget for one moment that you are looking at something vaguely human. Why are they really trying to charm you?
It is an act – a façade of fortune – a creature of the night that plays cat and mouse with its prey.
It has fangs, it is like a snake trying to seduce you into its jaws... the bottom line is that it is thirsty and wants to drain your blood!
A sharp, pointy stick through the heart (a stake) is enough to kill it, and sunlight burns it to dust... Once it is gone, it cannot come back, especially if it is decapitated.
Maybe they will spare you? Some long-lost act of compassion for as long as they dare... but they will always crave blood, human or otherwise.
But the vampire will always try to kill you in the end... It's in its blood after all!

Disclaimer: _{I do have friends that like Twilight and they are good people . If you like the series, good for you, most of you know that not everything is written in stone with that book/those books/films. But personally, after having read the entire series, I can say I honestly wish it would burn in hell. My opinion, sorry if it doesn't bode well with everyone.}
