So here I am, writing in my journal as I walk on home… No idea, but my handwriting is all scrawled and I probably won't be able to read this later!
Anywho, I'm on my way to the pub first to say hello to my girlfriend. She's an elf and an expert archer. Her name is Alina, beautiful in every way… and liable to knife you if you insult her!
I'll stop writing for the moment, I don't want to walk into an orc and find myself six feet under for offending them by not acknowledging their presence!

Ah… how I love talking to Alina as she speaks between sips of her beer… She was telling me about all the bounty hunting she did today as I recounted my tales of my day on the farm. Our conversations turned into something more intriguing, though:
"Honey, I've heard of a very rare material that can only be accessed in the coldest regions of the world." She said seriously, causing me to melt inside. "I'm going to go after it but I want to bring you along with me for company."
I was taken aback but answered nonetheless. "Of course I will come with you! Although, I am a walking target for predators…" I was scared, Alina could take care of herself because she was a trained bounty hunter with nerves of steel… but I was just a farmer with no means of defending myself in the wild.
This is when Alina kissed me. She stroked my cheek and said softly, "Murphy, I will protect you, but I will need you to help me carry tools and provide extra food and water for our journey. We shall dress for colder climes and then mine for the substance that will make us very wealthy. Please do not abandon me, my love. I swear I will die for you if necessary."
I trusted her completely. Alina and I have known each other since we were children within our forest dwellings and we started off as friends with no concept of the future… only the present day. As we grew into our teens we gradually developed a crush and went out on a few tentative dates to a popular club know as the "Tree House". Our career interests were extremely different – she wanted to become a bounty hunter and I wanted to work on the farms that I used to live by.
We both respected each other's choices and kept our old and new friends despite our obvious occupational dissimilarities. I love Alina and she loves me.
"I love you, Alina. I will accompany you so long as we are not in too much danger. I would not like your death on my hands."
She grinned cunningly, downing the last of her pint. "No danger, darling. Just some amazing scenery and predators will stay away if our fire is kept lit on our campsites."
"Then let us get out winter wear and we'll reap the riches for ourselves!" I cried, filled with excitement and adrenaline.
From there our adventure begins to get rich quickly.
