Before Technology #Candlelight-Writers Prompts
In the time before technology things worked rather differently. With no alarm clocks there were no disrupted sleep patterns, people slept when they needed to when their bodies told them to slow down and stop.
With no computers communication was spread on foot and by leaving messages on walls in the form of crude comics. Oh they didn't need phones either, all friends and families of the tribe were nomadic and travelled together.
Before technology people cooked their food on campfires or ate it raw after the hunter/gatherers had finished collecting their meals for the day. Shelter to raise children and to survive dangerous nights was found anywhere a "roof" was, such as a cave or a makeshift shelter out of natural resources.
People had to defend themselves with whatever they could find for weaponry or armoury. Fires burned at night to fend off predators.
Without technology people did not understand diseases or how to prevent them… nor could they treat a lot of illnesses. Oh, there were natural solutions, but death was never far away.
Before technology life was dangerous… but at the same time life was the way humanity was meant to be. Not savage as most stories portray, nor stupid either, but habits and survival were in tune with the animal kingdom. Who knows – life might have been happier back then.
Probably simpler.
I know certain things you did not have to worry about.
I like your flash fiction based off the prompt.
